The Cracovian Women Have Arrived

The two Cracovian women have arrived. One is a doctor and the other a printer. They come from Cracow in southern Poland. They seem to be okay. They came here from Berlin via Warsaw. They were soaked after intensive rain reached them while they were walking to my farm from a bus 7,5km. They were exhausted after 1,5 day travel, so I let them sleep until late. They came as CouchSurfers yesterday, but after a short debate they decided to try wwoofing today. Today it was their first helping day. They were helping for 5 hours, although weren't pleased with the length of the helping hours, but they didn't have to take part in this. Saying truth, I would prefer them to not help and instead buy for themselves their own food, since I don't have much food to share right now. Besides they didn't say before they came here that they would like to wwoof here. I am not prepared for feeding strangers. My modest supplies are scarce. But I agreed to feed them, if they help at least 5 hours daily. We were cutting some branches and bushes in the orchard. We also dealt with goats – one of them hold goats while I was milking them. It was a real challenge, as one of the goats was kicking wildly and jumping violently ;)

I have served fresh dill bread, goat cheese, cabbage soup, pancakes, some tea, mint cool drink, pudding, coffee. They said they like my food, specially my goat cheese which makes me really happy :) I haven’t been doing goat cheese for 5 years :) And I have done it after such a long time and it was great :) Still is :) We had it for breakfast and now for supper as well, but this time with cream and sugar :)

At evening I asked them how they feel after their first day of volontariat?
They said, that okay.
I had asked, if they wanted tomorrow CouchSurfing or volontariat day?
“We have to finish cutting these bushes!” - bravely responded Iza.
“Great! I am so happy about it!” - I exclaimed.
“What, you thought that you will not have to cook tomorrow???” asked Iza with smile.
“No, I hoped that YOU will cook something nice tomorrow, but if you want to help it’s okay with me, I will cook something for you tomorrow as well :)” – I replied also with smile.
